Formed local specialized schcool |
 | | K.S.Sokolnikov. The former local specialized school. 80s of the XVIII century | n 1784 a two storey building was built near the church. It was designed by a Tula architect Kuzma S. Sokolnikov. evidently, it was a school for peasants' children. According to the Regulations of 1782, it consisted of two classes. The children were taught “reading and writing, music, singing, arithmetics in order to make them ready to hold different posts in the local office and in count Bobrinsky’s house”. Later the building was used as a dwelling house and a sleeping block of a children’s camp. In 1969 the first in Tula region library of arts was opened here and a childern's art school in 1971. The Palace, The Kazanskaya church and The Former Local Specialized School are now put into “The Historical and Cultural Legacy Federal List”. |
